SIBERIAN GINSENG

Name: Siberian ginseng
Scientific name: Eleutherococcus
senticosus
Summary: Tonic plant with a lot of
virtues.
Description: Shrub resisting to the
void and indented leaves.
Environment and culture: Asian native.We harvests its root in autumn.
Used parts : Root
Constituents: Eleutherosids, phénylpropanoïds,
lignans, coumarins, sweetens, polysaccharids, saponins.
History: Used by Siberian shamans.
Because of its properties, it was distributed to Soviet population after Tchernobyl
disaster.
Manners: Stimulant, fights stress
and the tiredness, tonic effect on the body (action on the suprarenal glands).
For sportsmen (the athletes having absorbed ofsiberian ginseng saw their capacities
growing of 9 %).
Effects: Anti-stress, tonic, stimulates
cerebral cortex , intellectual and immunizing defences.
Warnings: Avoid caffein during the use, not exceed a treatment of 6 weeks.
Preparation: Infusion, decoction (35 ml twice a day).
