Environment and culture: Native from Central and south America, it today was cultivated in Europe.

gynocardine, harmane ( alcaloïde )
History: Name of the plant is likened
to the episode of Christ's passion, crucifixion. Indian used it for sleeplessness,
epilepsy and hysteria.
Manners: It fights sleeplessness
and improves the quality of sleeping. Concern thanks to its relaxing and soothing
properties acts also on stress. The passiflore calms also the raging toothaches,
headaches and menstrual pains.
Effects: sedative, antispasmodic,
tranquilisant.
Warnings: Avoid during pregnancy, either reduce doses. Can provoke slumbers with high dose.
Preparation: Infusion, alcoholic tincture.
Directions for use: 1 spoonful by
cup. Take 2 in 3 cups a day between the meals among which one at bedtime.
