Description: Tree with evergreen leafs and with pink flowers.


Environment and culture: Native from South America's rain forests, it grows in all this continent today.

Constituents: Quinone, floconoïdes, lapachol, carnosol, indoles, coenzyme Q, alcaloïdes ( tecomin ), saponins, stéroïds, xyloidin.

History: At the Incas and certain Indian tribes, lapacho was an universal panacea and a miracle tree (known under the name of Tree of Life and 'tajibo which kills troubles ').

Information: In South America, lapacho is one of the natural products mostly prescribes. Researches on the antitumoral virtues of plant are in progress, as well as on its action against leukaemia.

Manners: It looks after viral or bacterian infections, thanks to its properties antibiotics. It is used also in case of chronic tiredness. It makes lower fever, looks after herpes and after ulcers. Thanks to its capacity to multiply red corpuscles, it would look after certain diseases and after certain pains. It looks after cystites, after eczema, after stomach ulcers.... It is prescribed also for anti-inflammatory properties.

Effects: Antibiotic, powerful anti-inflammatory, stimulating immunizing, antiseptic, tonic, antitumoral.

Preparation: Decoction or infusion to be taken 2 or 3 times a day.
