Description: Long-lived and climbing plant (50cm of height).
Environment and culture: Native from India, this plant spreads on the
Asian continent and grows also in Australia, South Africa and in America.
Used parts: Air Part.
Constituents: saponines, alcaloïdes, bitter principles.
History: Anciene plants médiccinale ayurvedic.
Manners: Treat the skin diseases as the leprosy. In India it is used as tonic (concentration, memory), against fevers, asthma, the abdominal pains, bronchitises, dysentery. In occident, it treats wounds and looks after rheumatisms and after blood circulation. It is aphrodisiac by the fact that it amplifies the sexual sensations.
Effects: Anti-inflammatory, blood circulation, anti-rheumatism, tonic, aphrodisiac.
Preparation: Infusion, 2 cups a day.
