Description:
Shrub with sweet and regular leaves; green pale on the bottom with some hairs on the side. Yellow flowers climb on the axis of leaves, a sealed capsule parts in three fragments. Savour characterized, bitter..

Constituents: A volatile green oil smelling camomile, a bitter and amorphous(apathetic) principle, arbutine (until 7 %), damianine, resins and tanins.

History: Damiana was used by mayas of America central for its aphrodisiac and entertaining properties. Turnera's opifera leaves are used in infusion and data as astringent and tonic by Brazil's Indians. T. Ulmifolia : tonic and expectorantproperties.

Manners: Tonic and regenerative for the nervous system. Effective against light depressions and nervous exhaustion, notably for stress and fear. It is also an excellent sexual stimulant, it is aphrodisiac, treat the premature ejaculations and strengthen genitalia at the woman. As diuretic and urinary antiseptic, it relieves cystites or the uretrite.

Effects: Laxative, diuretic, tonic, antidepressant, acts directly on genitalia, stimulating, acts on the testosteron, relaxing, aphrodisiac. A regular usage but moderated in beneficial effects on genital organs.

Information: Aplopappus discoideus was sold as of Damiana, but it notices by differents leaves which have only 2 or 3 teeth on every face.

Warning: do not prolong the treatment much longer that necessities.

Preparation: The infusion has a slightly bitter taste, to appreciate it completely it is good to add some honey.

Directions for use: 1 to3 spoonful of damiana in a cup to be taken in infusion 1 - 3 times a day.
