GERMAN CAMOMILE

Name: German Camomile
Scientific name: Chamomilla Recutita or Matricaria Recutita
Other names: German chamomile
Summary: Often prescribed to the children for its sweet action.
Description: annual Plant, green
stalk, white flower with a yellow heart.
Environment and culture: wild and cultivated in all Europe.
Used parts : Flowers
Constituents: essential Oil, flavonoides,
glucosides bitter, coumarines, tanins
Manners: sweet action, prescribed
to children, looks after abdominal pains, after indigestions and after stomach
pains. It looks also after all the pains and after intestinal irritations
(disease of Crohn …).
Effects: Anti-inflammatoire, antispasmodic,
relaxing, favors the eviction of gases, aperitive, anti-allergic.
Preparation: Infusion (1 or 2 teaspoonful by cup of water at the rate of 2 in 3 cups a day), in ointment (apply to wounds or cutaneous irritations).
