BURRAGE
Name: Burrage
Scientific name: Borago officinalis
Summary: This plant contains all the main fat acids. Relieves skin and respiratory problems.
Description: Plant with big leaves and with sentimental and
purple.
Environment and culture: It grows in Mediterranean pond. It is especially
cultivated for the oil which is made with its seeds.
Used parts: Air parts, flowers, seeds' oil.
Constituents: Mucilages, tanins, nitrate of potassium hydroxide, alcaloids
History: The merits of this plant sound to praise by an English chemist in 1597
Manners: It relieves the respiratory confusions. It looks after premenstrual pains, after rheumatisms and after eczema. Oil has a very good effect on the dry and done root canal work skins. It clears also arteries and veins of the lipidics' deposits .
Effects: depurative, diuretic, sudorific, fabric softener, laxative.
Warnings: in strong dose and used against indicated, burrage maybe toxic for liver.
Preparation: Flowers' infusion : 1 spoonful for a cup ,infused 10mn.
Directions for use: 3 cups a day.
