Name: Aloe
Scientific name: Aloe vera
Summary: Aloe is a cultivable African plant in inside having a double medicinal function. Leaves contain a gel having big properties.
Description: succulent, long-lived plant leaves of which can achieve
60cm of height.
Environment and culture: South African native in the tropical
regions, it is cultivated today all around the world.
Used parts: Leaves, gel
Constituents: Aloïne, aloe-emodine, coniferous juices, tanins, polysaccharides, aloetine B
Manners: Lotion for skin (remedy in burns, grazes, sunstrokes...). Aloe is very effective against ulcers and bad digestion. Very effective against constipation.
Effects: laxative, Looks after wounds, stimulates digestive's secretions.
Warnings: do not directly apply the liquid on the skin. Do not make a too long usage of it. Do not use during pregnancy and the feeding and in case of kidney problems or haemorrhoids.
